Allworth Financial supports Foster Care Awareness Month by helping foster youth through our Allworth Kids program and partnership with Ticket to Dream.
At Allworth Financial, our dedication to service reaches beyond financial planning—it’s woven into the fabric of our values and our responsibility to the communities we call home. That’s why each May, we proudly recognize Foster Care Awareness Month, a time to spotlight the resilience of foster youth and the vital support systems that help them thrive.
Foster Care Awareness Month reminds us of the more than 350,000 children in foster care across the U.S. who need more than just a safe place to stay. They need advocates, mentors, stable relationships, and consistent encouragement as they navigate life’s challenges. We believe businesses can—and should—be part of the solution.
To help amplify awareness, we’ve created a special video interview featuring Allworth Co-Founder Scott Hanson, where he shares why foster care is a cause close to our hearts and how our team is working to make a meaningful impact.
In 2025, we’re proud to deepen our support for foster youth through a variety of hands-on, heartfelt initiatives:
Cards for Grads – We celebrate high school and college graduates from the foster system with handwritten cards and thoughtful gifts, recognizing their incredible achievements and encouraging them as they step into the next chapter.
Back-to-School Programs – From backpacks and laptops to “smile kits” and clothing, we help students start the school year with the confidence and resources they need to succeed.
Holiday Celebrations – The holiday season can be especially difficult for foster youth. Through gift list fulfillment and festive shopping sprees, we aim to bring warmth, joy, and a sense of belonging.
These initiatives are part of our broader mission to walk alongside youth in foster care—not just during May, but all year long.
Support can take many shapes, and there are countless ways individuals and organizations can make a real difference in the lives of foster children. If you’re looking for a place to start, consider these impactful organizations:
Whether it’s through volunteering, donating, or simply sharing information, your involvement can be a catalyst for hope and change.
At Allworth, we believe that fostering brighter futures starts with community. We invite you to join us this May—and beyond—in supporting foster youth and helping build a world where every child feels seen, valued, and supported.
