A native of Northern California, and a graduate of nearby Granite Bay High School, CSUS (Political Science), and UC Davis, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional Allison Scoggin is a partner-advisor in Allworth’s Roseville, California, office. The product of a family of financial professionals, her father and husband are both advisors with Allworth. Before embarking on a career in finance, Allison briefly worked in the California Legislature. “I quickly realized that the opportunity to help people reach their financial goals and improve their lives was much more in line with my personal sensibilities than a career in government,” she said. Allison lives in Folsom, California, with her daughter and her husband, Allworth advisor Wesley Scoggin.

I’ll never forget seeing how concerned my parents were during the 2008 financial crisis. So much of their savings and investments were tied up in the stock market. In that moment, I realized that I never wanted to deal with loss of choice if I could help it. 

No matter what changes may happen in life, I believe it’s possible to refocus any situation in a way that helps to create positive change. That is why I love being a financial advisor and helping my clients listen to their inner voice and change their outcomes for the better.
