CFP®, AIF®, LACP®

With more than 20 years of financial sector experience, Jim Moore is a Partner Advisor in Allworth’s Lawrence, Kansas, office. In addition to having earned numerous industry certifications, including the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation, Jim serves on the board of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, the State Board of Directors for NAIFA, and is also on the Advisory Board for Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence, Kansas. Jim is a graduate of the University of Kansas, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. When not meeting with clients, Jim and his wife, Allison, enjoy taking their three boys to KU sporting events, Kansas City Royals games, and traveling.

I love working with people, and I also appreciate that money can cause extreme stress and anxiety. That’s why, when I meet with a client for the first time, I work to understand more than just their investment accounts. By getting to know them as people and understanding their specific financial needs, wants, and concerns, I can build them a financial plan that solidifies confidence in the future. With that foundation in place, my clients can always expect a personal touch and a safe space to discuss their biggest worries around money and retirement. And even though this sometimes means having difficult conversations about spending or saving, I believe they are an essential part of helping clients make informed, positive decisions for their financial well-being.

My guiding principle is, “How would I want someone to treat my family?” Finances are one of the aspects of life that people worry about most, and it is my job to help my clients feel comfortable and reassured. My team and I walk alongside them on their financial journey, and, together, we help answer the hard questions to get them on a successful path to and through retirement. I love making a difference in the lives of every single one of my clients and treating them, quite frankly, as part of my own family.

Knowing you are helping someone sleep better at night because they’re confident in their financial future—I cannot imagine a better feeling.
