John "Chuck" Alexander III is a financial advisor in Allworth’s Manasquan, New Jersey, office. Known for his analytical depth and strategic approach, Chuck has spent much of his career guiding investment decisions through a lens of rigorous research and client-focused planning. In 2009, he began working at George McKelvey Company—a respected Manasquan-based financial planning and investment firm that joined Allworth Financial in 2024—where he oversaw portfolio management, stock and fixed income research, and block trading.

Chuck currently lives in Richmond, Virginia, with his wife, Ali, and their three children, balancing a flexible telecommuting schedule with regular in-office collaboration. In his free time, he dedicates himself to coaching youth sports and pursues his passion for rowing, a lifelong interest he loves to share with his family.

I believe effective financial planning starts with taking the time to listen. That’s why I begin every client relationship with a series of conversations designed to uncover their needs, investment experience, and what they’re truly looking for in a personalized plan. No two clients are the same—and that’s especially true across the diverse group I serve, which includes institutions, small endowments, retirement plans, and multi-generational families.

Because each client is different, I adapt my approach accordingly. My experience across these varied relationships allows me to cater solutions that align with their unique goals. Whether we’re managing complex portfolios or planning across generations, I focus on clarity, trust, and results.

Throughout our partnership, my clients can expect a high level of personal service from both me and my team. We communicate regularly and clearly, and we take a layered approach so there’s always someone familiar with a client’s circumstances and ready to assist, no matter the need.

Every client presents a unique puzzle, and that’s exactly what makes this work so rewarding to me. I find great satisfaction in using the tools at our disposal to piece everything together and craft a thoughtful, strategic plan that reflects each client’s individual goals and circumstances. It’s that mix of precision and personalization that keeps me motivated—and why I take pride in every plan we build

What I enjoy most about this work is helping clients make sense of their financial lives. There’s something deeply satisfying about taking the pieces of a complex situation and assembling a plan that brings clarity and direction.
