Lori Sherman is a Partner Advisor and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional in Allworth’s Lafayette, California, office. With nearly four decades of experience across financial planning, accounting, investments, and advisory services, Lori brings deep industry knowledge and a steady, client-first approach. She began her career as a CPA with Coopers & Lybrand in 1986, later serving as Vice President and Controller at Roger Engemann & Associates following several years as an independent consultant. In 2000, she became a principal at Stewart and Patten Company, a Lafayette-based advisory firm that joined Allworth in 2024. Lori holds a B.S. in Accounting from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and has proudly dedicated more than 15 years as a volunteer Girl Scout leader—reflecting her commitment to mentorship and community involvement.

When I meet with clients, I take the time to truly understand where they are in life, what they value most, and the kind of legacy they hope to leave through their investments. These conversations guide how we approach their financial plan, and if needed, we’ll make thoughtful adjustments to their investment strategy—typically including a mix of stocks, bonds, and cash equivalents—to align with their evolving goals.

Throughout our partnership, my clients can expect attentive, high-quality service and prompt responses to their questions and concerns. I treat each client the way I want to be treated by any trusted professional—with respect, honesty, and care. I recognize how hard they’ve worked to build their wealth, and I want them to feel confident and at ease knowing their financial future is in capable hands.

I’m here to help clients protect what they’ve worked hard to earn, grow their assets conservatively, and gain a clearer picture of what their financial future could look like based on their wealth, goals, and lifestyle. I also enjoy hearing each client’s story—their background, their work, and what’s important to them now.

Many clients have told me they feel more at ease after our conversations. That really warms my heart. If I can offer clarity, confidence, and a sense of calm, then I know I’m doing my job well.

While I feel fortunate to have a career that I love and that helps people achieve a sense of prosperity, I’m equally passionate about the 15 years I spent volunteering with Girl Scouts. That experience gave me the opportunity to mentor and positively influence the lives of young women—something I continue to value and stay connected to whenever I can.
