Richard Del Monte

Partner Advisor

JD, MBA, CFP®

With more than 35 years of investment advisory experience, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional Richard Del Monte is a Partner Advisor in Allworth’s Walnut Creek, California, office. The founder and principal of the Del Monte Group, Richard is an outspoken advocate of lifelong learning and growth, also possessing a law degree (JD), a Master of Business Administration (MBA), and a degree in Business Administration. As a respected expert in investing and financial advising, he has appeared on Fox Business News, as well as in The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times. Richard is also a lifelong volunteer, dedicating his time to the United Way, the John Muir Health Foundation, his church, and other non-profits. When not advising clients, he enjoys traveling with his wife, Ingrid, their five children, and their families.

Through personal interviews, I take the time to understand each of my client's unique goals, challenges, and available resources. Drawing on my decades of advisory experience and leveraging Allworth’s advanced analysis tools and wealth management services, I then craft tailored and creative solutions that help my clients navigate obstacles and achieve their desired future. Simply, my approach is focused on providing personalized guidance—and, when needed, out-of-the-box strategies—helping to ensure that every client feels confident and secure in their financial journey.

I’m driven to open doors for my clients that were previously unseen. In contrast to advisors at other firms who simply manage money and don’t know what they don’t know, my clients receive the full benefit of all my education, experience, and skills. If the issue at hand touches their financial life, it is my job to address it. Period. And while I am not an attorney and do not practice law, my legal background gives me added depth and insight into what clients are dealing with, opening up new possibilities for even more innovative and satisfying solutions.

What I love most about being an advisor is the fulfilling experience of coming up with creative ways to solve problems for clients that others just do not see as possibilities.
