Russell Hall is a Partner Advisor associated with Allworth’s North Carolina office, serving the Charlotte metropolitan area. With more than 30 years of financial services experience, he was the founder of Hall Private Wealth Advisors which partnered with Allworth in 2023. Before establishing his highly successful firm, Russ was an investment advisor at Paine Webber (UBS) and Morgan Stanley, where he earned titles of Senior Vice President, Corporate Client Group Director, and Senior Portfolio Management Director. Throughout his career, Russ has had the privilege of working for a number of exciting entrepreneurs, corporate executives, and philanthropic families. His entrepreneurial spirit motivated him to found Hall Private Wealth Advisors, with an ambition to deliver a uniquely transparent and exceptional experience.
Married for more than 25 years and the father of three teenagers, he lives with his wife and kids in Charlotte. Russ has been a tireless advocate and volunteer at numerous charities, including YMCA, ProKids, and Big Brothers & Sisters. He’s also served on the boards of the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the San Diego Tech Coast Angels, among others.
I begin by taking the time to understand my clients’ goals through a detailed client-profile questionnaire. This helps me identify what matters most to them—whether it’s saving for retirement, passing assets to the next generation, or other key financial priorities. The effort spent upfront in gathering this information allows me to develop a strategy that aligns with their long-term objectives.
Once I have a clear picture, I focus on setting realistic expectations and ensuring we’re aligned on risk tolerance. Investing requires patience and a solid understanding of the options available. I work to educate my clients so they feel confident in their decisions, knowing they have someone guiding them through the process.
Ultimately, my goal is to help clients stay on track with their objectives. To do this, I emphasize proactive communication and regular check-ins. By staying engaged, I can help ensure they remain focused and confident as they move forward with their financial plans.
What continues to motivate me is knowing I’ve helped my clients achieve meaningful milestones—whether that’s getting their kids through college, helping them retire early to spend more time with an aging parent, or enabling them to enjoy their best life while keeping more of their hard-earned wealth. My approach is guided by a deep sense of purpose: To support my clients in reaching their goals and helping them feel secure and confident as they enjoy the life they've worked hard to build.
