CFP®, ChFC®

Adam Peters is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and a Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) with more than 25 years of financial services experience. He has guided and supported a wide range of clients through each stage of their unique financial journeys, from building wealth during their working years to smoothly transitioning into retirement and enjoying long-term financial security. A native of the Denver area and the father of a daughter in high school, the recreational bicyclist and skier holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado State University.

I’ve often said that a good financial advisor is going to tell you what you need to hear, not just what you want to hear. But this level of honesty can only take root in a relationship built upon trust—the cornerstone for any meaningful long-term planning partnership. That’s why my process begins with a thorough understanding of each client’s key concerns, questions, and goals for the short- and long-term. These transparent, one-on-one discussions help get to the heart of what is most important to them and their family. From there, I craft a holistic, customized plan to demonstrate and quantify how those goals can be achieved. We then walk through each actionable step, weighing their pros and cons and working together to find the best solutions.

And though this process can sometimes feel overwhelming to clients—especially when covering everything from investment strategies to tax planning, cash flow management to risk mitigation—I’m proud to say many have expressed their deep appreciation for my ability to simplify complex financial topics, regardless of their previous financial knowledge.

I love getting to know my clients on a personal level and partnering with them to formulate strategies to meet their goals. The best part of my job is seeing how all the planning comes together to make a material, positive impact in their lives and for their families, for decades to come.

In a broader sense, I take pride in elevating the financial advising profession as a CFP®. I understand that many people may feel hesitant or uneasy about meeting with a financial advisor for the first time, and rightfully so. Unfortunately, too many in our industry focus more on what benefits them—like by pushing products—rather than providing tailored, client-centric solutions. My goal is to change that perception. When clients see that my team and I have no hidden agenda and no ‘sales pitch,’ they begin to recognize the financial advising profession as one that can truly be grounded in trust, transparency, and a commitment to helping them succeed.

What I have seen from clients throughout my career is that money can do a lot of good...but it can also be one of the main stressors in people’s lives. What we do very well is help ease these worries through broad-based wealth planning and investment management as a fiduciary. This gives them confidence in their financial future, so they can focus on the truly important things in life.
