Austin McDaniel is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and Partner Advisor in Allworth’s Albuquerque, New Mexico, office. With nearly 25 years of advisory experience, he holds a bachelor’s degree in financial management and an MBA in accounting from the University of New Mexico. Also a Chartered Financial Analyst®, Austin brings deep expertise in sophisticated investment strategies tailored to meet the complex needs of his clients. He is passionate about fostering strong community ties and helping clients align their financial goals with their values. Known for his belief in doing what you say you can do, Austin holds integrity and accountability at the center of his work and personal life.

In his spare time, the New Mexico native enjoys skiing at Taos, running in the Sandia Mountains, mountain biking, spending time with his family, taking scenic drives in his vintage 1968 Ford Mustang, and cheering on New Mexico United at home games.

Every client relationship I have begins with a 90-minute discovery meeting, where I take the time to truly understand who they are. I use this conversation to create a ‘mind map’ of their values, goals, and what matters most to them. My first question is always, “What is important to you about money?” because that answer sets the foundation for everything we do moving forward. No two families are the same, so my approach is always customized to reflect each client’s unique circumstances and priorities. Throughout this process, my clients can expect a relationship built on care, knowledge, and education—along with well-thought-out financial plans, consistent accountability, and responsive support every step of the way.

What guides me is the deep responsibility that comes with this work and the trust my clients place in me over time. I’m driven by the opportunity to solve problems, offer education, and sometimes provide that one great idea no one else has thought of. There’s real meaning in knowing I’ve helped someone feel more confident and informed about their financial future. But above all, it’s the relationships that matter most—like receiving a hug at the start and end of a meeting from a long-time client. That kind of connection is why I do what I do.
