Brian Stanford is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional serving Allworth’s Houston, Texas, office. With two decades of experience in the financial services industry, he works with individuals and families to develop comprehensive wealth management strategies that reflect their financial circumstances and long-term objectives. With particular expertise in retirement planning, Brian helps clients prepare for this important transition by considering how investment decisions, income needs, and broader financial priorities fit together.

Brian earned his Bachelor of Arts from Southern Methodist University. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children.

I believe financial planning begins with understanding the person behind the numbers. Before developing a strategy, I take the time to learn about each of my client’s goals, values, concerns, and personal definition of success. Those conversations allow me to translate their priorities into a practical, actionable plan that reflects what they want to accomplish.

From there, I focus on building a transparent, ongoing partnership where clients feel comfortable discussing their finances and asking questions. My role is to simplify complex decisions and provide clear direction, whether we’re addressing everyday financial matters or preparing for a significant life transition. I want those I work with to feel informed and assured that they have a dependable resource to turn to as their circumstances evolve.

What I find most rewarding about this profession is helping people gain a greater sense of direction when facing important financial decisions. Uncertainty can make even straightforward choices feel overwhelming, and I value the opportunity to bring perspective to those moments. Helping a client see a clearer vision of their future is what continues to make this work so fulfilling to me.

A well-designed wealth plan should reflect your values, support your priorities, and give you a greater sense of control over your future.
