Chad Cook is a Senior Regional Vice President and Wealth Management Consultant at Allworth Financial. He has worked in financial services since 2001, helping individuals and families clarify their goals, understand their options, and prepare for retirement. He works with clients across a wide range of financial circumstances as they make important decisions about the next chapter of their lives.
Chad's commitment to financial services began at home. Raised by a single mother who worked three jobs to support their family, he saw how deeply financial stability can affect a person's life. That experience inspired him to help others approach retirement with financial security and dignity. His approach centers on listening, bringing clarity to what matters most, and building a practical plan to move forward.
Chad brings extensive experience in financial services, with a background spanning sales, coaching, and leadership at several Fortune 500 companies. Throughout his career, he has helped professionals develop their skills and built teams focused on understanding clients' needs and helping families pursue their financial goals. Allworth's commitment to clients, opportunities for growth, and support for children through Allworth Kids drew him to the firm.
Chad earned a master's degree in business from Colorado State University. He holds the CFP®, ChFC®, CLU®, CASL®, and LUTCF designations. Originally from Arizona, he now lives in Des Moines, Iowa.
Those I meet with can expect a thoughtful, collaborative experience with clear explanations and plenty of room to ask questions. Early in the process, I take the time to understand their financial circumstances and what matters most to them. From there, we bring structure to their financial picture, identify priorities, and walk through the options available to them.
As we introduce their ongoing advisor, we carry forward an understanding of their goals, concerns, and personal circumstances. My goal is to create a seamless transition where each person feels known and supported, understands what working together will look like, and has a clear sense of the next steps.
I believe everyone deserves to understand the reasoning behind the financial recommendations they receive. That includes discussing the potential trade-offs involved and what putting a strategy into practice would look like. I want those conversations to feel open and engaging, with the opportunity to explore different possibilities before making important decisions.
Ultimately, my goal is to help those I meet with feel comfortable with the direction they’re taking. When someone understands their options and knows what to expect, they’re better positioned to move forward with confidence. I take pride in creating that foundation of understanding so they can move forward knowing they’ve carefully considered what’s right for them.
I believe good advice starts with making people feel heard, bringing clarity to what matters most to them, and building a practical plan to move forward.
