Gavin Morrissey

Partner Advisor

JD, LLM

Gavin Morrissey is a Partner Advisor serving Allworth’s Waltham, Massachusetts, office. He brings more than two decades of experience in financial planning, tax strategy, and estate planning. Prior to joining Allworth through its 2025 partnership with FSA Wealth Management, Gavin spent nearly 20 years advising financial professionals nationwide, helping them elevate the guidance they provide to their clients. As a Financial Advisor, he now brings that same level of depth, care, and strategic thinking directly to the individuals and families he serves.

Gavin holds a Juris Doctor (JD) from Thomas Jefferson School of Law and a Master of Laws in Taxation (LLM) from the University of San Diego School of Law, as well as an undergraduate degree in economics and finance from Lafayette College. Outside the office, Gavin enjoys hiking with his wife, Nikki, and their two dogs, Dewey and Moose, rain or shine. He also finds joy in cheering on his daughters, Cailin and Teagan, at their lacrosse games, and stays involved in his community through nonprofit board service and volunteering with the IRS's VITA program.

Financial planning is more than a career for me; it's something I genuinely enjoy. I approach each client relationship with curiosity, respect, and a strong commitment to creating strategies that are both holistic and highly personalized. Whether it’s planning for retirement, optimizing a tax situation, or preserving wealth for future generations, I work to ensure every recommendation aligns with my clients’ values and goals. Additionally, because of my background in law and taxation, I focus on designing strategies that are not only effective but tax-efficient.

I believe my role is to make things easier and clearer for my clients, offering the insight and attention they need to make confident decisions. I also pride myself on being responsive, trustworthy, and providing the level of service my clients want and expect.

Helping others has always been central to who I am, whether it's through wealth planning, volunteering, or simply being available when someone needs guidance. I find great satisfaction in serving my community through board service or pro bono work.

Ultimately, being part of a client’s financial journey is a privilege I don’t take lightly. My goal is to be a reliable, steady partner through all of life’s stages and transitions.

Financial planning isn’t just what I do. It’s truly what I love. Helping clients find clarity and peace of mind is incredibly rewarding.
