Matt Keller

Partner Advisor

CFP®

CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional Matt Keller is a Partner Advisor in Allworth’s Albuquerque, New Mexico, office. A graduate of the University of Notre Dame majoring in Economics and Computer Applications, Matt worked seven years as a management consultant before moving to Albuquerque and joining UAS Wealth Advisors in 2002. In stark contrast to the subtext of Lewis Carroll’s quote, “If you don’t know where you are going, any road can take you there,” he finds incredible purpose both in helping a client articulate their goals as well as working to develop, manage, and course-correct a financial plan so the client can actually reach them. Matt and his wife of nearly three decades have three adult children.

The work that a financial advisor does withand fora client extends far beyond dollars, numbers, and investments. This is why, during my very first meeting with a prospective client, I ask a series of questions around a variety of important topics, including: Relationships, personal goals, professional goals, hobbies and interests, and even how they view and value money. The information gleaned from this conversation serves as the foundation for our relationship moving forward. And just as Winston Churchill wisely noted, “Success is never final,” I believe that a client’s financial journey is never truly finished. Together, we continuously adapt their strategy to life's changes, ensuring their goals remain within reach at every stage.

My goal is to build successful, long-term relationships with each of my clients. For this to happen, I need to have a clear understanding of what and who is most important to them on an individual level. This only comes by asking insightful questions, listening more than I talk, and being committed to acting in their best interests. I find tremendous fulfillment in being there for a clientin good times and in badas well as shepherding them not only toward a strong financial future, but an enriched life in all senses of the word.

I view the relationship between a client and a financial advisor as a sacred trust. At its heart, it involves a person’s aspirations, dreams, fears, and the loved ones—and causes—that matter most.
