Paul Ochel is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional based in Allworth’s Addison, Texas, office. Since joining the firm in 2006, he has been committed to guiding clients through thoughtful, personalized financial planning. Prior to Allworth, Paul worked with individual investors at Fidelity Investments and Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. He earned his BA in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and his MBA in Financial and Estate Planning from the University of Dallas.

I believe that truly effective financial planning starts with listening. My first priority is to understand a client’s full picture—both the financial facts and the personal context—so I can tailor a strategy that aligns with their unique circumstances and long-term vision.

Throughout this process, my clients can expect a thoughtful, goals-based approach that considers not just where they are today, but where they want to be years from now. I take time to explore their aspirations, priorities, and any concerns that may be keeping them up at night.

Whether we’re planning for a fulfilling retirement, navigating a major life transition, or simply seeking greater financial clarity, my goal is to provide advice that’s relevant, reliable, and rooted in what matters most to them.

What drives me is seeing the happiness and joy my clients experience when they’re able to achieve their goals and live out the life they’ve envisioned. Helping someone reach that point—whether it’s through a well-planned retirement or greater financial confidence—is incredibly meaningful to me.

There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing the happiness and joy my clients feel when they’re able to live out the life they’ve worked so hard to build.
