Partner Advisor

Robert C. Ryan is a Partner Advisor in Allworth’s Yuba City, California, office. With nearly 30 years of experience in financial planning and asset management, Rob helps clients navigate life’s financial complexities with clarity and confidence. A California native, he earned his bachelor’s degree in business and economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara. The son of a retirement specialist, Rob gained an early appreciation for the value of disciplined money management and long-term planning—principles that continue to guide his work today.

Before entering the financial services industry, Rob served in the U.S. Navy, where he logged more than 2,000 hours of flight time and flew F/A-18 Hornets on combat missions over Iraq. He completed over 180 aircraft carrier landings and later served as a fighter pilot instructor, supporting Top Gun training as part of an aggressor squadron. A retired Naval Commander, Rob brings a steady, strategic mindset to every client relationship—shaped by years of experience in high-pressure environments.

Active in his community, Rob enjoys flying, sailing, and adventure racing. He has volunteered with several local organizations, served as a Boy Scout leader, and regularly leads youth backpacking trips. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Yuba City, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, the Presidio Yacht Club, and the Sutter Club of Sacramento. He is licensed with Series 7, 63, and 66, holds a California Insurance License (#0C05959), and is certified in life and long-term care insurance.

It all starts with listening. I take the time to understand what retirement truly looks like for each client—their goals, their lifestyle vision, and the priorities that matter most. From there, we build a thoughtful plan designed to help them not only reach retirement, but stay comfortably there with steady, reliable cash flow.

I believe in having a clear roadmap and checking in regularly to make sure we’re still on course. During our scheduled meetings, we revisit the plan, evaluate any changes in circumstances, and make adjustments as needed. It’s a steady, ongoing process—one that keeps clients informed, engaged, and confident in their financial future.

What I find most rewarding about this work is helping to replace financial stress with a sense of clarity and confidence. Many people worry about running out of money in retirement and I take pride in helping them feel secure with a thoughtful, well-structured plan that supports both their goals and their day-to-day well-being.

The most fulfilling part of my work is helping clients let go of the fear of running out of money and gain confidence in a plan built to support the life they want.
