CRPC®

Rutledge A. Gordon is a Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM and Vice President of Advisors in Allworth’s Addison, Texas, office. He values the deep, personal relationships he builds with clients and takes pride in guiding them toward their financial goals. Alongside his client work, Rutledge also takes an active role in developing advisor talent across the firm—sharing insights, offering guidance, and helping build stronger client relationships. Prior to joining Allworth in 1998, Rutledge earned a BBA in Business Management from Harding University and successfully ran his own financial planning practice. He has been married to his lovely wife for 26 years, and they have two wonderful sons, Austin and Mason.

I understand that every client is unique, with their own dreams, goals, and priorities. That’s why my process begins with getting to know each person on a personal level. I take the time to truly listen, answer every question, and provide thoughtful, high-quality advice. While planning is at the heart of what I do, I know that even the best plan only works if it’s clear and actionable. Throughout this process, my clients can expect empathy, respect, and a relationship built on trust and friendship. I consider myself part of their team—not someone who tells them what to do, but a partner who helps them understand their options and make confident decisions.

I’m proud to be working with fourth-generation clients—proof that long-term relationships are at the core of everything I do. Over the years, I’ve learned that trust is earned not through big moments, but through consistent support, honest guidance, and simply showing up. It’s the lasting connections and the heartfelt “thank yous” from clients that continue to inspire and drive me every day.

Long-term relationships are the most rewarding part of this work. A simple ‘thank you’ from a client means everything.
