Regional Vice President and Wealth Management Consultant

CFP®

Jake Wedemeyer is a Regional Vice President and Wealth Management Consultant at Allworth. As one of the first people investors meet when exploring a relationship with Allworth, Jake plays a pivotal role in articulating the firm’s value and how it aligns with their goals. With more than two decades of experience and a genuine, approachable style, he specializes in making complex decisions feel clear and manageable. Originally from Minnetonka, Minnesota, Jake earned his degree in business management from Minnesota State University, Mankato, with a minor in business administration. He has also been a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional since 2012.

Now living in McKinney, Texas, Jake enjoys life with his wife, Kellie, their two sons, Charlie and Harvey, and a lively household that includes two dogs, a cat, and a flock of chickens. Outside the office, he’s a passionate home cook (especially BBQ) and has trained in jiu-jitsu for more than a decade. He’s also lived in Ohio, Georgia, and Arizona—but he still enjoys being let down by Minnesota sports teams.

Integrity, transparency, and trust are the cornerstones of how I approach every conversation. I take a consultative approach—focused on listening, understanding individual goals, and helping determine whether our planning philosophy is the right fit. For me, the fiduciary standard isn’t just a regulatory obligation. It’s a personal commitment to always act in the best interest of those I serve.

That same philosophy is reflected in the broader way we serve clients at Allworth. I believe that comprehensive financial planning forms the strongest foundation for long-term success, which is why I value our family office model—a modern, collaborative approach that brings together deep, in-house expertise and attentive care. I want every person I meet to feel confident that they’re being treated with professionalism and honesty, and to know that they’re entering into a relationship built on mutual respect and trust.

Providing clarity is one of the most meaningful aspects of my work. I’m passionate about educating individuals and helping them understand the “why” behind their financial plan—because when people feel informed, they feel empowered.

The most rewarding moments come when I can deliver good news: that a family is on track, a goal is within reach, or a plan is working just as it should. Knowing I’ve helped bring that sense of confidence and direction to someone’s life is what continues to inspire me every day.

Acting in someone’s best interest isn’t just a rule—it’s the standard I hold myself to in every conversation, every decision, every time.
