Laura Gustafson is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional based in Allworth’s Norwood, Massachusetts, office. She works closely with clients throughout the onboarding process and beyond, including responding to inquiries, coordinating solutions, and ensuring each relationship starts and stays on the right track. She also has experience supporting other financial advisors and estate planning attorneys in helping clients integrate life insurance strategies into their broader wealth and legacy plans.

She earned both her Master of Professional Accountancy and B.A. in Economics from Rhode Island College, where she now shares her expertise as an adjunct professor. Laura currently lives in Lincoln, Rhode Island.

For me, it all starts with relationships. Discovery and active listening lay the foundation—not just for a personalized plan, but for a collaborative, ongoing partnership. I want my clients to feel heard, understood, and fully involved in the planning process. Financial plans are most effective when clients feel a sense of ownership, so I prioritize clear communication and education every step of the way.

Throughout the process, I work closely with my clients to ensure their plan is realistic, flexible, and always aligned with their life goals. As priorities shift, as they often do, we check in, adjust course, and keep moving forward together. It’s all about making sure the plan evolves as life does.
I’m proud to say my clients can expect a friendly, judgment-free space where no question is too small and no financial goal is too big or too offbeat. I don’t believe in sales pitches; I believe in conversations. My role is to be a steady, supportive partner who is in their corner to help make sense of the numbers and bring a little more confidence (and yes, maybe even a little fun!) to the planning process.

What I enjoy most about being a financial advisor is the opportunity to help people feel more confident and in control of their financial lives. Money can be a major source of stress, and I find real purpose in helping simplify the complex and provide clarity.

I’m especially passionate about the educational side of financial planning. I love breaking down complicated topics into something my clients can truly understand and act on. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing someone move from feeling overwhelmed to feeling empowered.

But at the heart of it all, it’s the relationships that make this work so meaningful. I get to walk alongside my clients through all kinds of life milestones, like buying homes, growing families, launching businesses, and retiring. Being a trusted partner in those moments is something I never take for granted.

At the end of the day, it’s incredibly rewarding to know that the work I do can have a real, positive impact on someone’s life.
