Michael Slenes is a financial advisor based out of Allworth’s Albuquerque, New Mexico, office. Michael holds both a Master’s and undergraduate degree in Finance from The University of New Mexico, where he developed a deep understanding of financial planning and investment strategies. During his MBA program, he also served as the president of a mentorship group, where he honed his leadership and relationship-building skills, which continue to shape his approach with clients today. Outside of work, Michael enjoys reading, snowboarding, and spending quality time with friends and family.

My method, refined by working alongside some of the best advisors at our firm, emphasizes creating personalized, adaptive strategies for each and every one of my clients—that also puts their best interests at the forefront. This means my clients can expect advice that’s both thorough and practical, grounded in solid research and careful analysis. I don’t just tell clients what they want to hear; I ensure that my recommendations are backed by strong evidence to help make informed decisions.

However, I also appreciate that building a long-lasting relationship with a client goes beyond the numbers. I take great pride in remembering the personal details that make clients unique, whether it’s following up on plans for their next vacation or remembering the names of grandchildren. Over time, I want my clients to know they’re a valued partner whose goals and well-being I genuinely care about.

I've known for a long time that financial advising was the career I wanted to pursue. What excites me about this field is the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients—each with their own unique financial situation and goals. I relish the challenge of finding personalized solutions that align with their specific circumstances, knowing that the right advice can make a significant difference in their lives. There's nothing more gratifying than knowing that my work can positively affect someone’s financial future and help them achieve their goals with confidence.

Whether it be goals, values, relationships, hobbies, or interests, I make sure to prioritize the areas that are most important to a client when developing their personalized financial plan.
