Head of Private Wealth Strategies

J.D.

Simone Devenny is Head of Private Wealth Strategies at Allworth Financial. A seasoned wealth management expert with more than 25 years of experience working with both advisors and clients, Simone brings deep insight and practical guidance to high-net-worth families. She specializes in solving complex issues related to estate and tax planning, concentrated position management, and multi-generational wealth transfer. Her expertise also includes pre-liquidity planning for business owners, tax-efficient portfolio construction, philanthropic strategy, and family governance.

Prior to Allworth, Simone spent over a decade serving clients in a variety of roles at firms including Morgan Stanley and Fidelity Investments. Earlier in her career, she founded a boutique law practice, offering highly personalized solutions to clients with sophisticated estate and tax planning needs. She holds a B.A. from Boston College and a J.D. from Boston College Law School.

I believe the most effective planning begins with listening and developing a deep understanding of each client’s priorities, values, and the complexities surrounding their financial life. From there, I take a multidisciplinary approach that integrates investment strategy, tax planning, legacy planning, risk management, and, when appropriate, philanthropic planning.

Drawing on my experience as both an attorney and wealth strategist, I focus on helping clients see how all the moving pieces fit together, rather than approaching decisions in isolation. I work closely with clients and their broader advisory teams, including CPAs and estate planning attorneys, to ensure strategies are coordinated, aligned, and thoughtfully executed.

Throughout the process, my clients can expect a highly personalized and collaborative experience. Many of the individuals and families I work with have sophisticated needs, including concentrated stock positions, business interests, multi-generational planning goals, and tax-sensitive investment considerations. My role is to bring clarity and structure to that complexity by simplifying sophisticated concepts into actionable guidance while keeping each client’s priorities at the center of every recommendation.

I am proactive and detail-oriented in my approach, with a emphasis on ensuring my clients feel informed, supported, and confident in the decisions they make. Just as importantly, I believe clients should understand not only what we’re recommending, but why.

I’m driven by the opportunity to help clients solve meaningful, often complex challenges that can have a lasting impact on their families and future generations. While I enjoy the intellectual side of developing sophisticated planning strategies, the most rewarding part of my work is building long-term relationships and helping clients feel more organized and in control of their financial lives.

I’m also deeply committed to a more integrated approach to planning by bringing together investment, tax, and legacy strategies in a way that is both cohesive and practical. Every client situation is unique, and that complexity is what makes the work both challenging and fulfilling.

I believe sophisticated planning should feel personal, combining technical expertise with empathy, clarity, and genuine understanding.
