CFP®

Susy Thomas is a Partner Advisor and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional based in Allworth’s Denton, Texas, office. She is passionate about helping clients pursue financial security and purpose, with the same focus and determination she once brought to her collegiate athletic career. Previously, Susy served as Vice President of Grunden Financial Advisory, Inc.—a Denton-based wealth management firm that partnered with Allworth in 2026.

A graduate of Texas A&M University, Susy studied Business, Communication, and Economics while competing as a two-year letterwinner on the women’s golf team. For more than 15 years, she dedicated herself to the game, practicing, analyzing, and pushing herself to improve. That same dedication shapes how she shows up for her clients today. To her, being an advisor isn’t so different from being part of a great team: it’s about character, commitment, and helping others reach their goals.

Susy and her husband, Rob, live in Argyle with their daughter. As a family, they enjoy golf, watching sports, spending time outdoors, and serving in their local church.

My process begins with understanding what matters most to my clients: their values, goals, relationships, and how they want to be supported. From there, I create a personalized financial plan that serves as both a foundation and a guiding framework. I think of this as the first chapter in a long journey. Because while life will bring changes and unexpected turns, we can adapt with intention and continue moving toward what matters most with a strong plan in place.

Throughout our partnership, my clients can expect honesty, consistency, and a high level of care. I follow through on every commitment, communicate with transparency, and serve clients the way I would want to be served—thoughtfully, proactively, and with their best interests always at the center.

I find it incredibly rewarding to help clients create clarity and direction in their financial lives. Partnering with them to build a plan that reduces uncertainty and provides peace of mind is what drives me every day. When clients feel confident about their next steps, that’s when I know we’re on the right path.

To me, great advising comes down to one thing: treating people with the same level of care and respect I would want for my own family.
